Hom Nguyen - Ligne de vie (Lifeline)

14.10.2017 – 20.11.2017

On the occasion of the opening of the cultural season, the Montresso* Foundation presents the work of the artist Hom Nguyen within the exhibition « Ligne de vie » (Lifeline). The dynamic, brutal, quasi-animal line, Hom Nguyen captures facial expressions and unmasks the subject. The gaze is not limited to the eyes, because behind them, a conscience, a story or an emotion communicate with others.

JONONE - A dream longer than the night

02.12.2017 – 31.01.2018

The Montresso* Foundation will unveil a solo show of the emblematic artist JonOne. Between improvisation and composition, the works of JonOne reveal intimate signifiers, a search for a subtle balance between abstraction and nature. In Morocco, he draws a deep inspiration and pushes the possibilities of the mediums he uses to their paroxysms. The material largely escapes from the canvas to land on the floors and walls of his studio at Jardin Rouge.

Fascinated by calligraphic lines, Denis Tevekov has been working for two years on a research and renewal work on the gesture. He looks attentively at oriental calligraphy to explore all its territories. Concentric circles, soft lines, streaks, spots mark his paintings. These are bits of writing that are lost in his paintings.

The Montresso* Art Foundation presents the project of Roxane DAUMAS “Architectures Inachevées” (Unfinished architectures) at the helmets’ salon of the artists residency Jardin Rouge.

« Architectures Inachevées” (Unfinished architectures) is the continuation of a plastic research on fluttering territories. Roxane Daumas focused on an unfinished hotel since six years in Marrakech. Decayed by time, stigmata of an era of uncontrolled real estate speculation, these concrete skeletons have become temples, witnesses, and a paradigm of our contemporary inconsistencies.
