ROXANE DAUMAS, TANIA MOURAUD, MAYA-INES TOUAM, FATIHA ZEMMOURI

Montresso* Art Space  I  04 November 2019

The Montresso* Foundation presents: « There are Treasures everywhere ». The exhibition explores in an open dialogue the physical and intimate territories of four artists: Roxane Daumas, Tania Mouraud, Maya-Inès Touam, Fatiha Zemmouri.

In her research, Roxane Daumas creates a language of the bodies and projects a common narrative into a common territory : that of our bodies and the spaces we cross. The artist reveals the construction of our « Ego ».

By refuting dogmas, Tania Mouraud constantly questions the aesthetic postulates in art. Her work repeatedly questions our relationship to language.

Maya Ines Touam forges through her photographs the tree of fascination around the object. In her obsessive quest for collection, she reveals to us the disturbing combinations of our interiors and our personal histories. She distances herself from the iconography of the object in order to reveal a dreamlike and plural reading.

Neither sculpture, nor drawing or painting, Fatiha Zemmouri’s works are all these at the same time. For her first collaboration with the Montresso* Art Foundation, she thinks about how a work is formed and developed.

From one continent to the other, the artists have probed during their residencies at Jardin Rouge their own relationship to preciousness. Each of them embodies it in plural formal expressions and multiple resonances. This diversity is arranged according to a harmony that does not ignore chaos.
