Immersed in Marseille’s graffiti boom of the 00’s, Neuröne grows a passion for its subversive culture. Whereas in his hometown Marseille graffiti is established on the walls, roofs and delivery trucks, the artist faces its absence in Marrakech…
In a way an architect would, Neuröne cuts and dissects images in order to obtain multiple layers that he superimposes. Dimension pervades and light shines monochromically in the room revealing the different layers and cuts, granting new visions. Rooted in graffiti’s iconography, the artist ironically displays the idea of vandalism.
In Jardin Rouge Neuröne wants to produce a series interrogating the subjectivity of the viewers; covering the tracks of vandalism to turn it into an aesthetic work. He will also use this residency to transpose his existing work onto wood.
