As part of her first residency at Jardin Rouge, Spanish artist Isabel Alonso Vega continues her research through the use of smoke as the main ressource for her works. In this way, she explores the realm of our dark uncertainties. Contained, intense and vaporous, the intangible appears static but seems to dissolve from one perspective to another. Beyond their allegorical forms, the artist’s sculptures act as real talisman against our most ineffable fears.

Born in Madrid, Isabel Alonso Vega is a graduate of the Complutense University of Fine Arts. She currently lives and works between Berlin and Madrid. Her work has been exhibited in many galleries in Europe such as Löwenbrau Kunst Zurich (Zurich, Switzerland), Ulf Larsson Gallery (Cologne, Germany), White Noise Gallery (Rome, Italy), etc. In 2018, Isabel Alonso Vega joined the collections of Norlinda y José Lima, Gerry Bonetty and Bracken Darrel.
