FENX – A En Rougir !
Jardin Rouge – Marrakech – Oct – Nov 2014
Loïc le Floch aka FENX has been passionate about graffiti since he was a teenager. Craving for sensations, the pleasure he drew from painting was enough for him not to question himself further. Then, feeling the need to improve himself and to produce a durable work, he started painting on canvases, fifteen years ago. To his youth’s iconography, filled with comic books, skateboarding and mangas, he mingles influences from the artists he admires such as Lichtenstein, Wesselman, Wool, Torres Garcia ou Motherwell.
Fenx’s work is erotic, he underlines forms with his naive outline and so doing, he captures Woman’s nude beauty, putting forward the powerful symbols of femininity and leaving aside the faces.
Represented by Marcel STROUK, FENX took part in several exhibitions in France and abroad (USA, Singapour, Netherlands, Hong Kong, Oslo).
The exhibition « A En Rougir ! » is an ode to the eternal Woman, which he produced during his Moroccan residency at Jardin Rouge. The artist Fenx unveils a new collection of paintings and sculptures and presents a “plural” vision of women.
