Born in 1966, Fatiha Zemmouri lives and works in Casablanca.
A graduate of the Casablanca School of Fine Arts, she leads through a polymorphic work, a reflection around the notions of construction, deconstruction, regeneration and transformation. The artist very quickly became interested in raw materials such as coal, charred wood, ceramics and porcelain. Natural phenomena (water, fire, earth) thus hold an essential place in Fatiha Zemmouri’s work. As a true alchemist of matter, she explores and transforms materials to give body to works that challenge us on our ambivalence, our evolution and our participation in a universal consciousness.
Fatiha Zemmouri has held several solo and group exhibitions in Morocco and abroad. Her works have been included in important public and private collections.
